Swimming (NL) keeps it's head above water by conjuring mathy, Midwestern-emo vibes, all the way from the eastern reaches of Canada. Angular drums and noodly guitar work lay a bed for Swimming's yearning lyrics, which paint pictures of the band's upbringing and experience in Newfoundland. Their successful debut LP "That's OK" gained editorial nods from Spotify and Apple Music. Spending the following years touring Canada, Swimming have worked diligently to shine a spotlight on the thriving music scene that they have helped cultivate in their home province. Their new record "Old" is out now through No Funeral & Barely There Records.
Absolute Losers (PEI) are a rock trio from Charlottetown, PEI, made up of brothers Sam and Josh Langille alongside Daniel Hartinger. Known for their wiry guitar work, laid-back vocals, and danceable interweaving drums and bass, the band made a bold entrance with their debut album, At The Mall, released in 2023. The Losers' next chapter sees the trio stepping out of their post-punk comfort zone to embrace irresistible melodies, tight harmonies, and a knack for sharp, straight-to-the-point pop songwriting—all without losing the raw edge that’s made them stand out.
Book Club (NL) is a six-piece band based in Newfoundland and Labrador, with members hailing from Atlantic Canada and Bangladesh. The band draws influence from shoegaze, post-hardcore, emo and electronic music— every member brings a unique sound and refuses to be confined by genre. Book Club is a force of nature.
Eda Kumquat (NL) is a transfemme drag performer living in St. Johns, Kqatmkuk. Eda’s dynamic performance style, undeniable charm, and quick wit have uplifted sold-out audiences across the province for 7 years. They have received rave reviews for their performances of Dr. Frank-N-Furter in TaDa! Events’ The Rocky Horror Show (2023) and Jacob in TaDa! Events’ La Cage aux Folles (2020). In 2023, Eda was voted by the public as Best Entertainer in St. John’s, and was awarded a Newfoundland Drag Award for Drag Host with the Most in 2025. Let’s party?
